Isopods are a must for all terrariums! They are vital to the health of terrariums because they eat the decomposing materials like dead leaves, rotting wood, and other undesirable material. They will also till the soil adding aeration while also helping to fertilize the soil!
The Powder Oranges (Porcellionides pruinosis) are a small-medium species with fast breeding. They are best in terrariums with something that can eat them, like frogs, lizards, or carnivorous plants. This is because they can breed very quickly and will need their population kept in check. This is the one of more common color varieties of this species.
Each starter colony comes with 10-12 isopods and will be sufficient for most terrariums/ vivariums. It comes in a small deli container as shown.
