Isopods are a must for all terrariums! They are vital to the health of terrariums because they eat the decomposing materials like dead leaves, rotting wood, and other undesirable material. They will also till the soil adding aeration while also helping to fertilize the soil!
The Dairy Cows (Porcellio laevis) are a medium-large species with fast breeding and big appetites! They are best in terrariums with something that can eat them, like frogs, lizards, or carnivorous plants. They are also good as pets, as they will need additional feeding. This species can breed very quickly and will need their population kept in check, although not as prolific as the Powders.
Each starter colony comes with 10-12 isopods and will be sufficient for most terrariums/ vivariums. It comes in a small deli container as shown.
