Isopods are a must for all terrariums! They are vital to the health of terrariums because they eat the decomposing materials like dead leaves, rotting wood, and other undesirable material. They will also till the soil adding aeration while also helping to fertilize the soil!
The Brickworks (Porcellio spinicornis) are a medium species with moderate breeding and distinctly stay above ground and climb. They are best in terrariums without predators as they are easily seen and hunted. This is the prefect species for bigger terrariums with lots of hardscaping.
Each starter colony comes with 10-12 isopods and will be sufficient for most terrariums/ vivariums. It comes in a small deli container as shown.
