The tiger paw has dark green to orange leaves with neon green, dotty markings which are said to resemble tiger paw prints. It is a member of the bowerae or eye lash begonia family because of the tiny hairs on the edges of its leaves. It is a fast growing plant that will add a unique splash of color to any collection.
Size: 2 inch pot
Light: bright, indirect light (no direct sun and can tolerate lower light)
Watering: This can be a thirsty plant. Allow soil to dry out slightly between waterings. It can be a bit dramatic and let you know when thirsty but bounces back quickly.
Soil: well-draining but moisture retaining mix (normal house plant soil is fine)
Humidity: Will grow with normal home conditions, but the more humidity you can give it, the faster and better it will grow. This would be a great terrarium plant.
Pet safe: no
This plant comes fully rooted in a peat-free houseplant soil mix.
