Hoya rubida is an uncommon Hoya that is native to Borneo. It has thin, semi-succulent leaves that are folded along the midrib. In bright light leaves will emerge a rusty-red. Hoya rubida is a fast grower and requires more frequent watering than most Hoyas, though soil should still be allowed to mostly dry between waterings to prevent root damage. When it blooms, Hoya rubida produces clusters of small pink, star-shaped flowers with purple centers.
