4" pot, well-rooted and very healthy, this ZZ Plant is a great plant for beginners or those who want a very low maintenance plant. It will thrive in low to bright indirect light and can also do well with ambient artificial lighting. Soggy soil will kill the ZZ Plant but it does not mind drying out. In fact, it prefers to dry out between waterings. The sturdy, waxy, green stems grow from tuberous rhizomes, which are specialized underground stems that store water and nutrients. In it's natural environment, the ZZ Plant relies upon the water stored in it's rhizomes to withstand times of drought.
