4" pot, peat-free soil, very well-rooted and happy! Polka Dot Begonia is a great addition to your plant family and will bring you joy for years to come as it grows and fills out. This plant needs bright but indirect light. Too much light will cause the leaves to fade in color. It enjoys being in a west- or east-facing window or being placed a bit back from a south-facing window (so that it does not get direct afternoon sun, especially in the summer). If grown under a grow light, ensure that it is not placed directly under the light but slightly off to the side instead. Allow the top 1/2" of soil to dry out before watering. Overwatering will frequently lead to mildew but this can be easily corrected by removing the affected leaves and changing your cultural practices. Grow in regular (peat-free) potting soil and fertilize lightly during the growing season (spring & summer). Sprigs of delicate pink flowers regularly appear in the spring.
